Who is obedient??

In our society we respect our parents and it is our duty to serve and help them, especially when they become older.
But some times, I feel, only serving our parents is not enough to pay off the debt that we owe to them.

They expect more...

In this materialistic world, parents have also changed.

They like that child better who can give them a lot of comforts that money can buy even if he is not serving them a single minute.
And, in comparison, the childr who is near and serving them, not just physicaly but mentally too isnt liked that much if he cant provide the material comforts.

It looks like that in today's world all relations are changed, even parents.

Is success so important that it has changed all; even relationships??
(and success here is in terms of money)

Why do parents only like their sucessful child???

Why is this world able to change parents who are God for the children?

Is god also changed and likes only sucessful people??

I think, nsg, that despite all the changes that are going on in the world around us there are some things that will never change. A parent's love for his or her chiold is one of those things.

Maybe sometimes it seems like they are pushing you and want to see you doing good in the materialistic sense, but the reason for that is simple. To some extent financial success is essential. It cannot be made the sole reason of your existence but it is needed. And your parents want the best for you and they want to see you doing good.

In many ways this is a sacrfice on their parts. They sacrifice their love for you to see you successful and making it big in the real world.

For the more you make the better you live, not them, even if you do send them a regular sum.

So,nsg, quit being so negative. Neither have parents changed, nor they will.
